Create a widget
Name a widget, then work through its behaviour, appearance and deployment settings.
Creating a widget takes one field: a name. Everything else is configured afterward in the widget’s settings panel.

Section titled “Creating a widget”- Open Widgets in the sidebar.
- Click to create a new widget.
- Give it a name.
You can configure everything else — behavior, appearance, and deployment — once the widget exists.
The settings panel
Section titled “The settings panel”- Behavior — instructions, model, web search, one attachable tool, knowledge, and data retention.
- Appearance — welcome message, suggested questions, colors, corner radius, and layout.
- Embed and deploy — the floating-button and embedded-window snippets, and the Live/Draft toggle.
- Widget insights — how the widget is being used, and the questions visitors have asked it.
Name and description
Section titled “Name and description”The name is internal — visitors never see it. The description is internal too, useful for telling widgets apart in a long list rather than for anything visitor-facing.
Opening a widget you cannot edit
Section titled “Opening a widget you cannot edit”If you can see a widget but don’t have edit rights on it, opening it shows a compact details view rather than the settings editor: its description, Space, status, model, knowledge, retention and dates, read-only. You get the facts about the widget without a page of controls you can’t use.
Deleting a widget
Section titled “Deleting a widget”Deleting a widget removes it and its embed immediately; any page still carrying its code stops working. Deletion can’t be undone.
