Publishing and approval
What publishing changes, and how the approval request flow works when your role requires a reviewer.
Publishing makes an assistant available to everyone in its Space, including viewers. Depending on your role, publishing either takes effect immediately or raises a request that a reviewer has to approve first.
What publishing changes
Section titled “What publishing changes”A published assistant is visible and usable by every member of the Space it belongs to. A draft assistant is visible only to the people who already have editing access to it.
Published and draft
Section titled “Published and draft”Every assistant is either Published or Draft. You can see an assistant’s status wherever it’s listed, and change it from the assistant’s own settings.
When approval is required
Section titled “When approval is required”If your role requires review before publishing takes effect, changing status raises a request instead of applying immediately.
Choosing a reviewer
Section titled “Choosing a reviewer”Pick a reviewer from the people eligible to approve the request, and optionally add a short message explaining the change.
Reviewing a request
Section titled “Reviewing a request”A reviewer sees who’s asking, what they’re requesting — publish or unpublish — and any message attached, then approves or denies it.
Withdrawing a request
Section titled “Withdrawing a request”You can withdraw your own pending request at any point before it’s reviewed.
Unpublishing
Section titled “Unpublishing”Unpublishing removes an assistant from general view in its Space, leaving it visible only to people with direct editing access. Like publishing, it may require the same approval step depending on your role.
