Integrations
Connect an assistant to services your organization has enabled, such as SharePoint, OneDrive or Google Workspace.
An integration connects an assistant to a service your organization already uses. Once an administrator has enabled one, you connect your own account to it and then attach it to the assistants that should use it.
What an integration gives an assistant
Section titled “What an integration gives an assistant”An integration gives an assistant access to material or actions in another system — a SharePoint library, a shared mailbox, a calendar — without you having to export or re-upload anything from it.
Connecting your account
Section titled “Connecting your account”Connect your own account to an enabled integration from Integrations in the sidebar. Some integrations use OAuth and ask you to sign in to the provider directly; the connection then applies to your account only.
Attaching an integration to an assistant
Section titled “Attaching an integration to an assistant”Once your account is connected, attach the integration to an assistant from the Knowledge step of the creation wizard, or from the assistant’s settings afterward.
Knowledge or actions?
Section titled “Knowledge or actions?”Integration knowledge
Section titled “Integration knowledge”Some integrations give an assistant material to search — documents in a connected library, for example — the same way a knowledge source does.
Integration actions
Section titled “Integration actions”Others let an assistant do something in the connected system — send a message, create an event — which is closer to a custom ability than to ordinary knowledge. See Custom abilities and integrations.
Capabilities and approval
Section titled “Capabilities and approval”Each integration exposes one or more capabilities, and each capability can be set to run automatically or to ask for your approval first, depending on what your organization allows and what you choose for yourself.
Disconnecting
Section titled “Disconnecting”Disconnect your account from an integration at any time from Integrations in the sidebar. Assistants that were using it lose access to it immediately.
