Personal assistant
The assistant every user gets by default, and what your administrator controls about it.
Everyone in Intric gets a personal assistant, and it’s what you see when you sign in. It’s meant for everyday work that doesn’t need to be shared: a quick question, a draft email, a summary of something you were just sent — general-purpose help that doesn’t warrant setting up a whole shared assistant. Unlike an assistant in a Space, you don’t configure it yourself — your organization does, centrally.
What you can change
Section titled “What you can change”The personal assistant has no settings view of its own to open. Depending on your role and your organization’s configuration, you may be able to choose a different model for it yourself; everything else is set centrally.
What your administrator controls
Section titled “What your administrator controls”Your organization’s administrator decides which models are available to the personal assistant, and whether you can pick your own model at all. They also set which security classification it operates under, and which knowledge tools — integrations, custom tools, web search — it can use. See The default personal assistant for the administrator side of this.
Seeing which settings apply
Section titled “Seeing which settings apply”An info icon in the personal assistant’s interface shows which model, security classification, and tools are currently active, so you know what you’re working with even though you didn’t configure it.
When you need a shared assistant instead
Section titled “When you need a shared assistant instead”If you find yourself repeating the same specialized task, or you need the assistant to have knowledge specific to your team, that’s a sign to build a shared assistant in a Space instead. See Create an assistant.
