Sub-processors

A sub-processor is a third party that processes data on your organization’s behalf when a model or tool runs. This view lists them with their hosting region, and lets you turn off any your organization hasn’t approved.

What a sub-processor is

Whenever a model or tool runs, some entity actually processes the data behind it — the model vendor, or the infrastructure provider hosting it. That entity is the sub-processor, and it’s the party that matters for your own data-processing agreements and vendor review.

The list and what it shows

Every sub-processor your organization’s configuration currently depends on, with its hosting region and a short description of what it does. Hosting region is the detail that matters most for a data-residency review, and it’s the value Intric checks against a classification’s permitted regions — see Processing regions.

Note

A sub-processor can carry one of two special labels: Required, meaning Intric can’t run without it and it can’t be turned off, or Deprecated, meaning it’s being phased out — move to an alternative before it’s removed entirely.

Disabling a sub-processor

Important

Turning off a sub-processor stops every model or tool it serves from being used, immediately. Check what depends on it before you disable one — the interface tells you what would be affected.

Using this for your DPA review

Use the hosting region and description columns together with your Data Processing Agreements to confirm that every party actually processing your organization’s data has been reviewed and is accounted for. Where a region shouldn’t be in use at all for a given kind of data, restrict it on the classification rather than relying on review alone — see Processing regions.
