Confluence-Sync

Syncs pages and attachments from your own Confluence into Intric knowledge collections — outbound only, from inside your own network.

Confluence content made available to assistants without opening your Confluence to the internet — the sync runs inside your network and pushes outward.

A one-way sync from a Confluence instance into one or more Intric knowledge collections. Pages and attachments go out; nothing is ever written back to Confluence.

The direction matters more than it sounds. The sync runs entirely within your own network and initiates the connection itself, so there is no inbound access from Intric to your Confluence — which is usually what makes this possible at all in a regulated environment.

It also tracks what it has already sent, so a routine run transfers changes rather than the whole space again.

  • “What does our architecture decision record say about authentication?”
  • “Find the runbook for this service.”
  • “Has the sync run, and what did it pick up?”
  • “Sync now — the space has changed since this morning.”

Usage guide What the sync does and does not do — the assistant reads this first
Sync status When it last ran, what it covered, and whether it succeeded
Trigger sync Starts a sync run now instead of waiting for the schedule

Three tools. Once content is in an Intric knowledge collection, it is searched the way any other collection is — this integration’s job ends at getting it there.

  • Outbound only. No tool writes to Confluence. The capability does not exist.
  • No inbound connection. The sync runs in your network and reaches out; Intric never reaches in.
  • Incremental. Already-synced pages are not re-sent unless they changed.

The sync is deployed inside your own environment with credentials for your Confluence and a target Intric collection. Talk to your Customer Success Manager — this one involves your IT operations from the start.

  • Permissions are at collection level. Confluence’s own page restrictions are not carried across: everything synced is reachable by anyone with access to the target collection. Choose the spaces accordingly — this is the single most important decision when setting it up.
  • As current as the last sync, not live.
  • Pages and attachments. Comments, page history and Confluence-native macros are not carried over, and a page that is mostly a macro may sync as very little.
  • One direction, permanently. Editing in Intric does not change Confluence, and is not intended to.
