Boverket
Climate loads by coordinate, building-product climate impact, planning provisions, BFS regulations and housing statistics from the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning.
Six of Boverket’s open data APIs in one connection, so an assistant can answer a planning or building question with the actual figure and the actual provision rather than a recollection of them.
What it is
Section titled “What it is”Boverket is the Swedish national authority for housing, building and planning. This integration reads its open data directly — no key, no account, nothing cached that can go stale.
Use it for
Section titled “Use it for”- “What snow and wind loads apply at coordinate 59.33, 18.07?”
- “What is the climate impact of this building product, and what does the database say it is compared against?”
- “Which planning provisions can a detailed development plan use for this purpose, under the Planning and Building Act?”
- “What does BFS say about ventilation requirements — give me the regulation, not a summary.”
- “How does this municipality describe its housing shortage in the latest survey?”
Twenty-four tools across seven areas:
| Area | Answers |
|---|---|
| Usage guide | How the areas relate and which to reach for — the assistant reads this first |
| Climate loads | Snow, wind and temperature loads for a coordinate or a named place |
| Climate database | Climate impact of building products, searchable and browsable |
| Planning provisions | Provisions under the Planning and Building Act, their purposes, and what each one means |
| Regulations | BFS regulations — search, and the full text of one |
| Comprehensive plan catalogue | What the national catalogue holds for a municipality |
| Housing statistics | Housing market and housing shortage surveys, BETSI, and dimensioning outdoor temperature |
| Terminology | Boverket’s own concept database for planning and building terms |
Data and permissions
Section titled “Data and permissions”- Open data, no key. Nothing about your organisation passes through the integration.
- Read-only. There is no tool that writes anything back to Boverket.
- Live. Answers come from Boverket at the time of the question.
Getting started
Section titled “Getting started”Add the MCP server to an assistant and ask. No configuration.
Limitations
Section titled “Limitations”- Sweden only, and only what Boverket itself publishes as open data.
- Not a building permit decision. The integration returns the provision and the figure; applying them to a specific case is still the officer’s judgement.
- Climate loads are the published values for the location, not a structural calculation.
- Depends on Boverket’s availability. If an API is down the answer says so rather than guessing.
