Google Calendar

The Intric Google Calendar integration lets you access your calendar events directly in AI conversations. Once connected, you can ask an assistant to check your schedule, look up upcoming meetings, and reason about your availability — without leaving Intric.
The integration is read-only. Intric can never create, edit, or delete calendar events.
What the assistant can do with Google Calendar
Section titled “What the assistant can do with Google Calendar”When the Google Calendar integration is enabled on an assistant, the assistant gains the ability to:
- List upcoming events — retrieve events from your calendar within a specified time range
- Read event details — access the title, time, location, description, and attendees of a specific event
- Search for events — find events by keyword, attendee, or date range
- Browse multiple calendars — if you have more than one calendar (e.g. work and personal), the assistant can access all calendars associated with your account
The assistant decides which of these actions to take based on your question — you don’t need to navigate your calendar yourself.
How to connect your Google account
Section titled “How to connect your Google account”Before you can use Google Calendar in a conversation, you need to connect your Google account:
- Go to My Integrations on New Intric (v4)
- Find the Google Calendar integration and click Connect
- Sign in with your Google account and approve the requested permissions
Once connected, any assistant with the Google Calendar integration enabled can access your calendar on your behalf.
Your personal permissions apply: Intric only accesses calendars associated with your Google account. It cannot access other users’ calendars unless they have been explicitly shared with you in Google Calendar.
Admin consent and organizational requirements
Section titled “Admin consent and organizational requirements”Google classifies the calendar.readonly scope used by this integration as sensitive. In Google Workspace organizations, administrators control whether users can grant third-party apps access to sensitive scopes. Many organizations restrict this by default.
If your organization uses Google Workspace and has restricted third-party app access, your administrator must explicitly trust the Intric app before any user in the domain can connect their Google account. If you see an error when trying to connect, contact your Google Workspace administrator and refer them to the Google Calendar setup guide.
Personal Google accounts (outside Google Workspace) are not subject to these restrictions and can connect directly.
Using Google Calendar in a conversation
Section titled “Using Google Calendar in a conversation”You don’t need to specify commands or navigate manually. Simply describe what you need in natural language. For example:
- “What meetings do I have tomorrow?”
- “When is my next one-on-one with Sara?”
- “Do I have anything scheduled on Friday afternoon?”
- “Show me all events with Jonas this month”
The assistant will look up the relevant events and give you a clear answer based on your calendar data.
Limitations
Section titled “Limitations”- Read-only: the assistant cannot create, edit, move, or delete calendar events
- Your calendars only: the integration accesses calendars associated with your Google account; other users’ calendars are only visible if explicitly shared with you
- No meeting content: the assistant can read event metadata (title, time, attendees, description) but cannot join or transcribe meetings
- Admin consent may be required: in Google Workspace environments where third-party app access is restricted, an administrator must first approve the Intric app (see the setup guide)
Disconnecting your Google account
Section titled “Disconnecting your Google account”To disconnect, go to My Integrations and click Disconnect next to the Google Calendar integration. Intric will immediately stop accessing your calendar. Your Google account and calendar data are unaffected.
If you have also connected Gmail, that connection is managed separately and will remain active. See Gmail.
