Statistics Finland
Finnish official statistics from Statistics Finland's StatFin database — browse, search, read a table's structure and fetch its figures.
Finland’s official statistics, queried the way a statistical database wants to be queried: find the table, read what it contains, then ask for the cut you need.
What it is
Section titled “What it is”Statistics Finland (Tilastokeskus) publishes the national statistics through StatFin, a PxWeb database. This integration browses and searches it, reads a table’s metadata, and fetches the figures.
Use it for
Section titled “Use it for”- “Show the population trend for this municipality over the last ten years.”
- “Which tables cover employment by industry?”
- “What dimensions does this table have, and what values can each take?”
- “Fetch this series for these three municipalities.”

Data and permissions
Section titled “Data and permissions”- Open data, no key. Nothing about your organisation passes through.
- Read-only.
- Live. Answers come from StatFin at the time of the question.
Getting started
Section titled “Getting started”Add the MCP server to an assistant and ask.
Limitations
Section titled “Limitations”- Finland only.
- Aggregate statistics. Nothing here is about an individual.
- The metadata step is not optional. Asking for a cut a table does not carry returns an error rather than an approximation, which is the right behaviour but means a question has to match the table’s actual dimensions.
- Municipal boundaries change over time. A long series can span a merger, and comparing across one without noticing is an easy mistake.
