NAV statistics

Norwegian labour market figures from NAV, with the current position and the history kept as separate questions because they are answered differently.

What it is

NAV is Norway’s labour and welfare administration. This integration reads its published statistics: the current unemployment picture, the historical series, and a search over the datasets NAV publishes.

This is the statistics side of NAV. The Aa register connection is a different thing entirely — that one looks up individual employment relationships and requires a token from the calling user.

Data and permissions

• Public statistics, no key. Nothing about your organisation passes through.
• Read-only.
• No personal data. This connection cannot reach anything about an individual — that is a different integration with a different access model.

Add the MCP server to an assistant and ask.

Limitations

• Norway only.
• Aggregate statistics. Individual cases are not reachable here, by design.
• “Current” has a date on it. NAV publishes on a cycle, so the latest figure is the latest published figure, not today’s — presenting it as today’s is the way to be wrong with this one.
• Unemployment is defined, not obvious. NAV’s registered unemployment and survey-based measures are different quantities, and a comparison against another country’s headline rate usually is not comparing like with like.
