Assistants
In Intric, Assistants are the core of how you as an organization benefit from AI. Instead of each employee interacting with an empty chat box on their own, you build shared assistants that are specialized for your specific tasks. This way, a single employee’s expertise becomes a shared resource for the entire team through assistants that have the right knowledge and access to the right tools.
What is an assistant?
An assistant is your digital colleague that can be shared and used by everyone who needs it. It consists fundamentally of two parts that work together to give you the best possible support:
Language model (The engine): The intelligence that processes language, understands instructions and generates responses.
Knowledge (The fuel): The specific information (documents, web pages or data) that the assistant has access to in order to answer correctly based on your context.
Different types of assistants
Your personal chat
At the top of the menu, you’ll find your personal assistant. This is your fastest path to support in everyday tasks that don’t necessarily need to be shared with the entire organization.
The organization’s administrators can adjust the settings for this chat. By controlling which models are available and which security levels should apply, the administrator ensures that usage always follows the organization’s authorization and security policies.
✅Recommended solution:
Set this up with a fast language model, open security class and enable Web Search, so you can always fetch current information from the web.
Shared assistants in Spaces
In different Spaces (workspaces), you’ll find assistants that are created for specific departments or projects. An assistant in an HR space can, for example, have exclusive knowledge about employee handbooks, while one in the Finance space has knowledge of invoicing routines. When one person updates the knowledge in a Space, the entire department benefits from it immediately.
